We get back to our runaway prosecutor, who has been hiding in Do-hwan’s vehicle waiting for him. Jung chokes Do-hwan with the seatbelt and forces him to drive away, and of course, they finish up in a vehicle crash. I do not know why he believed that would function. Dramatic impact, perhaps? It didn’t enable although.

Bleeding heavily from a head wound, Jung is not capable to go to a hospital for remedy considering the fact that the prosecution would be capable to track him there. So he goes to Jae-kyung, who in spite of initially discouraging Jung often ends up assisting him in his occasions of have to have (and who has also been taking care of his dog Coco, who is now named Snowball, lol).

Jung research the autopsy report, but sees a thing off, so he asks for Jae-kyung’s viewpoint. The older prosecutor offers him a hint: the crystal meth discovered in Deputy Chief Lee’s physique in the autopsy was utilised as a sort of truth serum. Amazed by his deduction, Jung asks Jae-kyung: how did you finish up in the civil affairs division? “By getting an attitude like yours.” Oooh, is this a further hint of his previous with Tae-ho?

In the middle of carrying out her nails, Eun-ji is forcibly taken into the prosecution along with Joong-do. Ah-ra updates them about what’s taking place with Jung, but she sooner or later lets them go, claiming they do not have adequate data, but truly so that they can enable Jung.

Our negative prosecutor does contact Ah-ra to confirm that he’s okay. Ah-ra informs him that she’s been ordered to hunt him down, but nevertheless tells him to be cautious: “I’ll come soon after you myself and get promoted, so do not let an individual else catch you.”

Following the lead on the drug, Jung tracks the distribution chain to gangsters that can be identified with dragon tattoo on their necks. The crew gets to function, infiltrating the gangsters’ evening club. Sadly, just as they come across the dragon tattoo gang, a police group arrives for a drug bust, generating chaos and creating the gangsters go on the run.No matter, Jung utilizes his father’s motorcycle to conveniently catch up with the gangsters. He beats them up and secures their list of consumers.

The subsequent day, in a deserted warehouse, Jung meets with Ah-ra to ask her to appear into the consumers on the list, suspecting that the murderer’s name is there. On the other hand, Do-hwan has discovered his lesson and has Ah-ra tailed.

Soon after a lot of parkouring on stairs and rooftops (is this show an excuse to let D.O. parkour about?), Jung is capable to escape by a hair’s breadth He tends to make it to his motorcycle, readying to go — that is, till a masked man ambushes him, stabbing him a number of occasions. Oh no!

At the prosecution workplace, Ah-ra meets with Tae-ho who pretends to be worried about Jung. Apparently, Do-hwan has also observed the bloodstains and reported back to Tae-ho. The new chief prosecutor asks exactly where Jung is, but just as she promised Jung, she does not inform everyone, like Tae-ho. Rather, she promises to get punishment for disobeying him soon after she catches absolutely everyone involved in this evil scheme.

Afterwards, Tae-ho quickly heads to Chairman Seo, saying that he shouldn’t have ordered the attack on Jung, due to the fact he’s currently handling the problem. But the arrogant Chairman Seo implies that Tae-ho is useless if he is not capable to wrap factors up speedily.

Searching into the list of drug consumers, Ah-ra finds the connection to Chairman Seo. Apparently, his chief secretary is listed as a purchaser. Meanwhile, back at his property, Jae-kyung is forced to endure Jung’s abysmal cooking (he tends to make an exceptionally black soy bean stew!). So Jae-kyung decides to consume out rather. But sadly, that is exactly where they see that Jung has been on the public wanted list on the Television.

Ah-ra confronts Tae-ho, but gets brushed off. She also gets ostracized at function due to the rumors spreading that she’s assisting Jung (which is accurate). She mainly ignores it, but when one particular of her employees members is disrespected, she retaliates — with violence, slapping a meals tray on the head of one particular of the other prosecutors. Why is absolutely everyone so violent on this show? Are they displaying us what a negative prosecutor is? Sigh.

Bad Prosecutor: Episodes 5-6

Elsewhere, the 3 siblings get to function. Chul-gi appears for the GPS history of Do-hwan, though Joong-do and Eun-ji disguise themselves to go to the alleged meeting location of Do-hwan and his mysterious boss. When they get the CCTV footage, Jung sees that it is truly Tae-ho.

Though he’s stuck at property, Jung is not just lying about. Soon after confirming Tae-ho meeting with Do-hwan, he’s capable to connect the dots now that he knows Tae-ho’s in on it. But he wouldn’t be Jin Jung if he just sat about waiting for other men and women to do the tough function. So he goes out and breaks into Do-hwan’s property. Soon after escaping from Do-hwan’s property, Jung and Ah-ra meet at the baseball stadium. Ah-ra arrives hunting frustrated due to the fact of what occurred at function, and she becomes additional conflicted about this new discovery with regards to her mentor.

She asks Jung if she can pretend not to know something, but Jung offers her time to consider about it. On the other hand, he also tells her that she demands to make a selection quickly, due to the fact time is of the essence if they want to catch Tae-ho. She does not take as well considerably time, due to the fact even just before Jung leaves, she currently asks him what she demands to do.

Later that evening, Ah-ra meets Tae-ho at his property. She promises to in no way disobey him once again, if he tells her the truth. To prove herself, she offers up Jung’s place — oh no! But it is in fact all portion of the strategy. She keeps her telephone on all the time so Jung can hold listening in. But Tae-ho calls her out and tells her to turn off her telephone. And catches her once again with a listening device disguised as a pen.

When she offers each of these up, she demands for the truth from Tae-ho. In an angry outburst exactly where he slaps her in the face (WTH!), Tae-ho tells her he had no thought about the plot to kill Jung, but he also had no selection in the matter of framing Jung as a murderer. Tae-ho tells her to prepare herself for obtaining kicked off the force, but she promises that she’ll get him back for that slap.

All of these are portion of their strategy although. Since there’s a third listening device hidden behind Ah-ra’s telephone case. Jung grabs the telephone from Tae-ho himself, calling him a crook and telling him his profession is more than. Is it truly, although? Hmmmm.

Bad Prosecutor: Episodes 5-6

I do not know if it is just me getting distracted, but we’re halfway via the series, and I nevertheless really feel like the plot is moving so slow. We do not know considerably about Tae-ho nevertheless, and we do not know his history with Jae-kyung. We also do not know the significance of Jung’s memories with his dad. It is also unclear what produced Ah-ra so loyal to Tae-ho, although that is gradually altering now. And the significant baddie that is Chairman Seo is nevertheless shrouded in mystery. Like, what else does he do other than be wealthy and effective? Is that all there is to these characters? Am I expecting as well considerably from them, or are they all just meant to be flat characters?

There’s also so numerous action sequences that they all really feel repetitive. I get that this is Jung’s specialty as a character, but didn’t he also leading the prosecution board exam? So shouldn’t he make additional logical choices? Case in point: choking Do-hwan in the vehicle. That didn’t make sense at all. I also felt uncomfortable watching Jung ignore the shaken girl in the evening club in favor of tracking the gangsters. I have an understanding of that his priority is to adhere to the lead he has, but it appears a tiny out of his righteous and just character for him to ignore an individual in have to have like that. Some factors just are not adding up for me.

Effectively, for all intents and purposes, Jin Jung is displaying us what a negative prosecutor would appear like, so I suppose in a way the show is thriving if that is the objective. I do hope we see additional plot (and even character) improvement in the latter half of the series. Please do not disappoint, Show!
