When in custody, Jung is playing card games with his fellow detainees, but his entertaining is reduce brief by the arrival of Ah-ra, who is there to berate him (once more) and ask him what he plans to do subsequent soon after developing a mess. Smirking, Jung merely tells Ah-ra that he has a plan… the strategy becoming to escape from the airport security’s custody. How? Working with the very good old I-have to have-the-toilet method combined with some astounding parkour across restroom stalls.

Bad Prosecutor: Episodes 3-4

Racing to the ceremony venue, Jung is prepared to barge in and announce to all the alleged corruption of Deputy Chief Lee. Sadly, he ends up becoming as well early due to the fact the occasion was postponed for an hour. Nicely, no matter – he then hides below the podium alternatively for a grand but entertaining entrance.

Right after Jung addresses the media, a reporter asks him if he has any proof to back up his claims. At the interrogation space exactly where our hero is when once more becoming held, Do-hwan tells him he will possibly be facing quite a few years in prison for the reason that of his actions at the airport. But soon after some gloating, Do-hwan himself gets some unfortunate news that Jung is becoming released. Ah-ra comes to the rescue, but it is seriously Tae-ho who got him out.

Jae-kyung ends up scolding Jung for his actions, warning him he’ll finish up in a worse location if he continues his investigation. But regardless of saying inspirational but “cringey” factors about the prosecution, he even gets named “old school” by Jae-kyung, a person who appears a lot older than him.

Bad Prosecutor: Episodes 3-4

When Jae-kyung returns to the workplace and finds the runaway dog there beside a waiting Chul-gi — oh wait, it is not the runaway dog. It is Jung’s dog: Coco. Cute! Jae-kyung appears for him, but Jung is currently out with Ah-ra.

Joong-do and Eun-ji are in an abandoned warehouse with a couple of gangsters (a.k.a. her old minions) guarding the hostess bar owner. Sadly, Do-hwan finds them and gets the witness out. Do-hwan brings the hostess bar owner back to the prosecution workplace and tends to make him retract his statement in front of the press, producing Jung appear like a violent troublemaker who coerced him into speaking. Which, fair, Jung seriously is, but he’s got the appropriate intentions.

When he sees the news, Deputy Chief Lee becomes excited once more about his upcoming promotion, specially when numerous flowers congratulating him arrive. But Jung is not providing up this simple.

Bad Prosecutor: Episodes 3-4

At the secret hacker lair, he gathers Ah-ra, Chul-gi, Joong-do, and Eun-ji to strategy a heist into the Deputy Chief’s workplace to get the USB containing photographs of him and the hostess who was murdered. Everyone’s attempting to discourage him, but they push on anyway, a lot to the consternation of the by-the-book Ah-ra.

Surprisingly, they raid the workplace although the deputy chief’s there, with Joong-do infiltrating and hacking into the secure, Eun-ji and Chul-gi waiting to throw the tear gas into the creating, and a masked Jung waiting to grab the USB. Poor Joong-do got tear gassed as well early. Oof, it is often him!

Bad Prosecutor: Episodes 3-4

Right after the heist crew escapes, the deputy chief enters his workplace and discovers the scene of the crime, discovering the USB gone and missing. He tells Do-hwan to appear by way of the CCTV footage, but a reluctant Ah-ra has currently covered their tracks, deleting the proof.

The subsequent day, Deputy Chief Lee confronts Jung, but our hero has currently released the proof to the media, when once more stirring a frenzy and stopping the deputy chief from acquiring the promotion he wanted. Recognizing defeat, he admits to Jung that he is not the murderer of the hostess, regardless of becoming with her on the day she died. Oh no! It is becoming pinned on him?! Who is it?

Elsewhere, Do-hwan asks for the truth from the hostess bar owner: is the deputy chief seriously behind the kill? But the hostess bar owner says he saw a person else that day, which was captured by way of the dashcam of his auto. He offers the dashcam footage to Do-hwan, who sees a person with a fidget spinner leaving the murder scene.

Bad Prosecutor: Episodes 3-4

Meanwhile, Jung goes to verify the deputy chief’s alibi, which he does confirm by way of CCTV footage. Right after setting up a meeting to go over the truth, Jung gets shocked when the deputy chief abruptly falls from the creating — just just before their meeting! This is going to be pinned on him, is not it?

But then, what is certainly a murder is framed as a suicide. Jung brings his suspicions to Ah-ra, who gets approval from Tae-ho to investigate the case. But he’s also seeking a tiny sus — oh no.

When Ah-ra and Jung are out seeking for proof, Chul-gi stays at the Civil Affairs Division workplace, awkwardly smiling to attempt to quit Jae-kyung from discovering out what Jung is carrying out. It only buys him a couple of a lot more seconds for the reason that Jae-kyung instantly notices Jung is gone. He calls, but Jung instantly rejects the contact, saying it is fine to ignore him for the reason that irrespective of whether he answers or not, he’ll just be scolded anyway. LOL.

Right after discovering the legal way as well slow, Jung decides to make Joong-do hack into Deputy Chief Lee’s contact history to speed factors up. He finds a buddy of the victim in the contact list, so he swiftly sets up a meeting. There, he finds what the deputy chief has been seeking for: an MP3 player.

Bad Prosecutor: Episodes 3-4

Elsewhere, Ah-ra is on standby for the deputy chief’s autopsy. A fast appear at the physique shows proof that there was foul play involved, but the official autopsy indicates suicide. That health-related examiner is sus!

Right after they obtain outcomes, Jung and Ah-ra regroup. Ah-ra tells him they should really quit investigating due to the fact the official paperwork currently say it is suicide. They do not have sufficient ground to stand on. She often discourages him, becoming so strict and straight-laced. Does not she know foul play when she sees it? Does not she watch dramas and recognize that there’s corruption everywhere?

Nicely, no matter, Jung will not give up, and spends the evening at his desk seeking for proof. Jae-kyung gives him some ramyeon, asking him why he keeps on carrying out what he’s carrying out when he knows he’ll get in difficulty for it. “Because no a single else will do it if I do not,” is his answer. Aww, our righteous troublemaker has his heart in the appropriate location, even if he largely makes use of a lot of questionable techniques.

When Jae-kyung asks him to take out the newspapers to the trash, Jung finds a headline that says the health-related examiner who worked on the deputy chief’s autopsy has a history of fabrication — or at least allegations of! That is nevertheless sufficient ground to stand on.

Thank you, Jae-kyung, for producing Jung take out the trash. In spite of discouraging Jung frequently, it appears like Jae-kyung is also carrying some heavy baggage, specially with Tae-ho. Which is possibly why he’s also discreetly assisting Jung. Jae-kyung has also apparently met with the deputy chief just just before his death — he’s the a single who received the vital-seeking MP3 player!

Even if the household is mad at him, Jung instantly asks the deputy chief’s daughter if they can do a second autopsy. She agrees when he tells her that there could be foul play at function.

To preserve factors below wraps, he decides to sneak out the physique and get his personal health-related examiner. Jung also contacts an anatomy professor (cameo by Kim Jung-young) to discreetly do the autopsy, although he did have to have to turn on the charm — even if mentioned charm is producing cringey jokes.

Bad Prosecutor: Episodes 3-4

He entrusts the sneaking out to Chul-gi, Eun-ji, and Joong-do — with Joong-do playing the part of a corpse. They do effectively get the physique out, but in the chaos, Eun-ji and Chul-gi neglect that Joong-do is inside the coffin! He’s about to be cremated in location of the deputy chief. Oof, poor guy often gets the brief finish of the stick. The crew does finish up rescuing him, but only soon after almost frying him in the cremation machine themselves. Phew!

When all that is taking place, the justice minister is becoming coerced into appointing a particular a person as the new chief prosecutor in location of the not too long ago murdered deputy chief. It is the effective Kangsan Law Firm chairman SEO HYUN-KYU (Kim Chang-wan) who desires it to come about.

At initial, he sends out his son and heir SEO JI-HAN (Yoo Hwan) to send the message. But when it is not instantly followed, he shows up himself to confront the justice minister, hitting the latter sufficient to break his nose. Damn.

At the prosecution workplace, Do-hwan also faces jeers, soon after his “ladder” abruptly ended up dying. Desperate, he approaches Tae-ho, promising to do what ever he asks of him and be his sword, but he nevertheless gets rejected. Ouch.

As it turns out, the new head that Chairman Seo has been pushing for is Tae-ho! He has been hiding behind a persona at function, painting an image of himself as righteous and unambitious. But he seriously desires to climb up the ladder, exact same as anybody else. He has been in cahoots with the chairman, and they’re close sufficient that he calls him “hyung.” Damn, so Tae-ho’s a negative guy then?

The subsequent day, Tae-ho arrives at the prosecution workplace becoming greeted as the new chief, nevertheless donning on his unambitious, solemn persona. Meanwhile, Jung eagerly waits for the autopsy report. It turns out his hunch is appropriate, for the reason that the second autopsy confirms there might be foul play at function!

Sadly, as he and Chul-gi prepare to continue investigating, Do-hwan arrives with a warrant of instant arrest for Jung. He’s charged with the murder of deputy chief. Jung did get framed!

Bad Prosecutor: Episodes 3-4

It is a tiny disappointing that Tae-ho appears to be a negative guy. He did appear sus, but I was hoping he just had a solemn character. Becoming a villain in such a position sounds cliché, but I suppose the series is tackling corruption in the prosecution, so it also tends to make sense that he’s a villain. Nonetheless, I hope the show does not disappoint.

I also didn’t like how Ah-ra didn’t seriously get any character improvement this week. It appears like she exists just to be a mother hen to Jung. Each and every time Jung does anything, she tries to quit him, but fails and ends up just going along with it. I hope she at some point gets a lot more involved in the schemes alternatively of becoming an afterthought, for the reason that appropriate now, it appears her character could be written out of the show and the plot would nevertheless move forward. Sigh.

But as often, Jung and his crew do not disappoint. There have been a lot of wild shenanigans from them this week, and every a single supplied a very good laugh. But D.O. is seriously the key highlight of the show for me. He’s carrying out so properly as this delinquent prosecutor whose heart is in the appropriate location, but who goes about it in the incorrect way that. Here’s to a lot more crazy Jin Jung shenanigans in the subsequent episodes!
